OSU Baseball: Cowboys to Face Current, Past Conference Rivals in 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown
The event provides a potential additional Bedlam matchup.
The Cowboys will again take part in the Shiners Children’s College Showdown next year, and they’ll see a lot of familiar foes.
REV Entertainment announced the slate for the 2026 iteration of the early season college baseball event, and there are some heavy hitters.
REV Entertainment has announced Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, and Vanderbilt will participate in the 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown, Feb. 13-15, 2026, at Globe Life Field.

The event does a good job of landing big-time programs. This past season, the Cowboys went 1-2 in the event at Globe Life Field, sandwiching a 12-3 win over Louisville between losses to Clemson and Texas.
You could call this event an unofficial Big 12-SEC Showdown, with the Big 12 represented by OSU, TCU and Texas Tech splitting the field with the SEC’s OU, Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
The Cowboys’ 2026 schedule is yet to be announce, but this would provide the potential for an additional game against in-state rival Oklahoma. The Cowboys and Sooners met just once last season, following OU’s move to the SEC, an 11-1 OSU loss in Stillwater. The 2025 event also provided OSU with its only meeting with Texas after the Longhorns also left the Big 12.
Oklahoma State is 48-24 all-time against Arkansas and 3-5 all-time against Vanderbilt. The Cowboys last played the Razorbacks in 2024. They lasted play Vandy in 2023.
OSU is 18-14 all-time at Globe Life Field and has played more games at the facility than any other program, according to ShrinersChildrens.org. The Cowboys played at Globe Life four times this season, including last year’s Shriners event plus a loss against Texas State immediately following. They’ll also play in the Big 12 Championship at the venue next week.
The 2026 Shriners Children’s College Showdown is slated for Feb. 13-15 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The specific matchups and schedule will be released at a later date.
As for the 2025 Cowboys, they enter the final weekend of the regular season at 24-22. OSU hosts Arizona State in a three-game series this weekend, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at O’Brate Stadium.
