Steve Lutz and Co. could be closing in on their first commitment in the 2026 class, as high school recruiting is starting to pick up in the summer months.

Oklahoma State offered the son of an hall of famer on Wednesday. Here are two other hoops recruiting storylines going on.

Four-Star Wing Aidan Chronister Visits

Aidan Chronister announced an Oklahoma State offer at the end of April, and on Wednesday, he shared photos from a visit he took to Stillwater.

Listed at 6-foot-8, Chronister played at Sunrise Christian Academy up in the Wichita area last. It’s the same program that OSU signed incoming freshman center Mekhi Ragland from in the last cycle. Chronister announced last week that he’ll close this high school career out at The New School in Fayetteville, Arkansas back in his home state.

Chronister is the No. 52 player in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking. 247Sports, Rivals and On3 all consider him a four-star prospect. Along with his OSU offer, he is also being pursued by Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Creighton, Texas A&M and others.

At 6-8, Chronister shot better than 40% from 3 in the opening session of the Puma-sponsored Pro16 league.

DFW-Area Guard Kamden McGilveary Announces OSU Offer

Aziz Olajuwon wasn’t the only player in the 2026 class to announce an OSU offer Wednesday, as Kamden McGilveary put out his offer post in the evening.

He’s a 6-foot-1 guard but boasts a 6-8 wing span. There’s a loose OSU tie, as well. He plays in the Pro16 League with the Marcus Smart-sponsored Young Game Changers (YGC). The team, McGilveary included, stopped by GIA on their way up to Wichita for an event in mid-May.

OSU joined the likes of TCU, SMU, Nebraska, LSU and others that have offered McGilveary. Despite the strong offer list, the recruiting services have been a little slow at evaluating him to this point. He’s the No. 231 player in On3’s Industry Ranking for the 2026 class. 247Sports lists him as a three-star prospect.
