OSU Wrestling: Class of 2026 Prospect Michael White Flips from Minnesota to Oklahoma State
White hasn’t been wrestling long, and he’s already really good.
David Taylor apparently wasn’t done with the 2026 recruiting class.
Michael White, the No. 30 wrestler on Flo’s big board for the 2026 class, announced Monday that he is committed to Oklahoma State. White had previously committed to Minnesota. He likely projects to be a 197-pounder at the college level.
White is coming off a third-place finish at Fargo last month at 190 pounds. He went 7-1 at the event with five tech falls, a medical forfeit and a fall in the third-place match.

White wrestled in the U17 division at the U.S. Open this year, battling to a seventh-place finish at 92 kg (about 203 pounds).
He hails from Indiana. The Indianapolis Star‘s Charlotte Varnes wrote a terrific profile on him last December. Varnes reports that White took up wrestling as a freshman at Lawrence North High School in Indiana. He has spent time living in hotels and a shelter for six months.
White finished sixth at Indiana’s state tournament as a sophomore at 175 pounds and finished second at 190 pounds as a junior this past school year. Again, he just got rolling in this wrestling world and has already placed twice in state tournaments and finished third at Fargo.
The Cowboys’ 2026 class is ridiculous. It features Jax Forrest, Dreshaun Ross, Jordyn Raney and Jayden Raney — four of the top six recruits in the cycle on Flo’s big board. The class also features Kellen Wolbert — the No. 36 wrestler in the rankings who wrestled a Raney in an epic final at Fargo. Rocklin Zinkin is the No. 100 wrestler on Flo’s big board, and he won at Fargo and is committed to Oklahoma State.
