Nolan McLean has been called up to The Show.

McLean will make his Major League debut for the New York Mets on Saturday when they take on the Seattle Mariners, according to Sportsnet New York’s Andy Martino.

McLean is the top pitching prospect in the Mets’ farm system, according to MLB.com, and the No. 37 prospect in all of the MLB. He is the third-ranked prospect in the Mets’ system regardless of position. The top prospect on that list is also a former two-way Cowboy in Carson Benge.

Playing in AA and AAA ball in 2025, McLean has a 2.45 ERA through 113.2 innings of work. He has given up 31 earned runs in that time while striking out 127 batters to 50 walks.

McLean pitched and hit in a three-year career at Oklahoma State — heck, he even spent some time on the football field with Mike Gundy’s squad. He struck out 76 batters in 57.1 innings of work at the college level while posting a .270 batting average with 136 career hits, 96 RBIs and 36 home runs at the plate.

The Mets took McLean in the third round of the 2023 MLB Draft. That came a year removed from the Baltimore Orioles taking McLean in the third round before he elected to return to Oklahoma State.

The Mets host Seattle at 3:10 p.m. (Central) Saturday at Citi Field in Queens.
