The Cowboys will spend Thanksgiving in the Windy City.

Oklahoma State announced Tuesday that it has agreed to a two-year series of games against Northwestern. The first comes Thursday, Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving) at the United Center in Chicago before Northwestern comes to Oklahoma City (date TBD) for the 2026-27 season. This upcoming season’s game will be part of a doubleheader that will also feature Duke taking on Arkansas.

“We’re looking forward to being part of a great college basketball atmosphere on Thanksgiving Day,” Lutz said. “Competing at the United Center against a strong opponent like Northwestern will be a valuable experience for our group as we gear up for Big 12 play. It will be a fun day of basketball!”

This will be the first time OSU and Northwestern have met on the hardwood, and it also marks the first time OSU has played in Chicago since 1990 — the first year of the Eddie Sutton era when OSU played Southern Illinois (85-73 loss) and DePaul (72-70 win) as part of the Old Style Classic.

The Cowboys have yet to officially announce its full schedule, but little by little, schedules have started to release that have the Cowboys on them.

Oral Roberts put out its schedule Monday, announcing that the Golden Eagles will open the season in Gallagher-Iba Arena on Nov. 4. Nicholls also released its schedule Monday, with the Colonels traveling to GIA on Nov. 22. Bethune-Cookman’s schedule release sees the Wildcats in Stillwater on Dec. 29.

Here is a look at what is out there thus far as it pertains to the Cowboys’ nonconference schedule:

Oct. 15 (exhibition) — Auburn (Birmingham, AL)
Nov. 4 — Oral Roberts
Nov. 9 — Texas A&M
Nov. 19 — USF

Dec. 6 — Grand Canyon (Phoenix)
