The Cowboys and Wildcats will kick at a bit of a unique time next week and on a unique network.

The Big 12 announced Monday that Oklahoma State’s game against Arizona on Oct. 4 in Tucson will kick at 2 p.m. (Central) on TNT/TruTV/HBO Max.

It’ll be the Cowboys’ third afternoon kick of the year. They got hammered 69-3 in the 2:30 p.m. slot to Oregon and will play Baylor at 2:30 p.m. this upcoming Saturday.

It’ll mark the earliest the Wildcats have played this season with all of their other games kicking in the evening. Arizona is off to a 3-0 start under second-year coach Brent Brennan with wins against Hawaii, Weber State and Kansas State. Arizona plays No. 14 Iowa State this upcoming weekend in Ames.

OSU’s only win to this point came against FCS UT-Martin, as the Cowboys enter this weekend’s game against the Bears on an 11-game losing streak to FBS competition.

Arizona and Oklahoma State have played just nine times throughout their respective histories. OSU is 5-4 in those games. The most recent meeting between the teams came in 2012, where Arizona won 59-38. That marked the third time in three years the Cowboys and Wildcats played, as OSU beat Arizona 37-14 in 2011 and 36-10 in the 2010 Alamo Bowl.
