SIGNING DAY UPDATES

It must be 1992 because Batman has returned.

Jenks running back KD Jones signed with Oklahoma State on Wednesday. Jones was pledged to OSU but decommitted following Mike Gundy’s firing. He had since committed to Kansas, but with Eric Morris being hired last week, the Trojans’ all-time leading rusher is back on board.

The 247Sports Composite ranking considers the younger Jones as the No. 496 player in the 2026 class, making him the No. 6 player from the state of Oklahoma. At different times throughout his recruitment, Jones had announced offers to Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M and others.

Jones closed out his high school career this past weekend and set an all-time rushing record at Jenks, running for 4,757 yards in three seasons. Heck, he ran for 1,264 yards as a freshman at Broken Bow.

OSU wasn’t all that involved with Jones at one point, but when Gundy cleaned house on his staff after the 2024 season, 2025 running back coach Cory Patterson made it a point to bring Jones into the fold. So, he deserves some credit here for reopening that door.

Jones’ father is Kejuan Jones, who played at OU in the early 2000s. The elder Jones ran for 2,331 yards and 36 touchdowns as a Sooner.
