Arizona State Linebacker Schedules Visit, Notre Dame DT Announces Offer and Other OSU Portal Updates
A roundup of portal transfer updates for Oklahoma State.
STILLWATER — Arizona State linebacker Tate Romney is set to be one of the Cowboys’ first visitors over the weekend, per a report from 247Sports beat writer McClain Baxley.
247Sports ranks him 486th overall, but 32nd among linebackers in the portal.
Romney recorded 13 total tackles, forced a fumble and broke up a pass this season across 10 games for the Sun Devils. His best day was easily his game against Utah when he recorded five tackles.
The 6-2, 225-pounder hasn’t started a game since doing so 11 times in 2023. That season he finished fourth in tackles (52), including four for loss and a sack. He also broke up four passes and recovered a fumble.
He played seven games in 2024 after recovering from a broken arm that held him out of the first half of the season.
He should have at least one season of eligibility remaining after he redshirted at BYU in 2022.
Numerous other portal prospects announced new offers from the Cowboys on Friday. Here’s a look at four of the latest ones.
Notre Dame defensive tackle Armel Mukam is currently unranked by 247Sports as a portal prospect, but was a 4-star ranked 193rd overall and 28th among defensive linemen coming out of high school.
He should have two seasons of eligibility remaining following two seasons and a redshirt year with the Irish where he recorded 11 total tackles, including 1.5 for loss and one forced fumble.
Kentucky linebacker Landyn Watson is another former four-star (ESPN) recruit out of high school. He finished the 2025 season 14th on the team with 21 tackles, including one for loss.
He’s technically completed five total seasons including his redshirt year so he must have received an additional waiver for a sixth season. He played three games at TCU across 2021 and 2022 before spending two seasons at Marshall where he started 11 games in 2024. That season he finished fourth in tackles (65), including four for loss. He also hurried the quarterback three times and snagged an interception.
UT-Rio Grande Valley receiver Tony Diaz hauled in 68 receptions for team-high 875 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. He topped the century mark four times, including a career-high 17-catch, 172-yard performance against Incarnate Word.
No one else on the team had more than 37 catches and the No. 3 receiver had only 302 yards.
Diaz should have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Presbyterian tight end Nate Levicki caught 48 passes for 783 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last two seasons at Presbyterian. PFF graded him out 75.4 overall in 2025 and 77.2 in 2024.
He has 1,028 snaps of offensive experience and his social media profile reports him with only one remaining season of eligibility.
