North Texas’ star receiver has a visit to Stillwater scheduled.

CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer reported Friday evening that Wyatt Young will visit Oklahoma State and then Louisville.

As a true sophomore in 2025, Young had 1,264 receiving yards, which ranks third nationally. He also had 10 receiving scores. That yardage total set a season record for North Texas.

Young, listed 6-foot, 195 pounds, had at least 100 receiving yards in five games including a ridiculous eight-catch, 295-yard, two-touchdown performance against Rice.

Young is the No. 39 player in 247Sports’ portal rankings, with the service listing him as a four-star prospect. That makes him a Top 10 receiver in the portal.

He wasn’t always viewed so highly by the recruiting services, though. Out of Katy Tompkins High School (TX), Young was a three-star prospect who came in at No. 1,836 in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the class. Along with North Texas, he held offers to Arizona, Memphis, Rice, Tulsa and others.

Young played all over the place in high school, whether that be quarterback, running back or receiver. He finished his senior season with 936 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. He had 56 total TDs in his career — 35 by ground, 13 by arm and eight receiving scores.

Playing in all 13 of North Texas’ games as a true freshman in 2024, Young had 18 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard catch-and-run against Texas Tech.

Young would make a good addition for any team, but OSU is in great need of receivers (and just about every other position on the roster, for what it’s worth). Aside from Gavin Freeman, every other OSU WR who caught a pass in 2025 has either exhausted their eligibility or announced intentions on hitting the transfer portal.
