Watch Jax Forrest Pin His Opponent in Oklahoma State Wrestling Debut
STILLWATER — On Sunday night, 133-pound freshman Jax Forrest made his college debut.
Forty-seven seconds later, he celebrated his first win after pinning his opponent, Sooner Carter Schmidt.
Forrest made the decision to wrap up high school early and enrolled at OSU for classes this semester.
OSU coach David Taylor talked about Forrest’s potential ahead of Oklahoma State’s dominant Bedlam win on Sunday night.
“Jax, he’s enrolling early and just like our other guys, he’s got five dates to utilize,” Taylor said. “We’ll see how things go and how those dates are used.”

Forrest was the reigning U23 world champion at 61 kg (roughly 134 pounds) when he joined Oklahoma State. So the fans in attendance were pretty excited to see him before the pin.
