• Portal update – Pokes added a cornerback that started 12 games for a Sun Belt squad this year (PFB) • With more than 40 pledges coming back in the door, plenty of room for optimism for the Pokes this fall as the Pokes climbed to the No. 1 spot ranking transfer portal classes:

The staff convinced (Drew) Mestemaker, (Caleb) Hawkins and (Wyatt) Young to turn down big-time offers from other programs and stick together for 2026 to help lead this rebuild. The Cowboys are off to a good start, too, in digging through the larger pool of available players and finding value and upside.
