•  Pokes won big in this year’s Bedlam wrestling match – shutting out the Sooners for the first time since George H.W. Bush was president and seeing a freshman phenom make his debut in a breathtaking way (PFB) 21 in a row! • Portal update – Pokes added a cornerback that started 12 games for a Sun Belt squad this year (PFB) • With more than 40 pledges coming back in the door, plenty of room for optimism for the Pokes this fall as the Pokes climbed to the No. 1 spot ranking transfer portal classes:
The staff convinced (Drew) Mestemaker, (Caleb) Hawkins and (Wyatt) Young to turn down big-time offers from other programs and stick together for 2026 to help lead this rebuild. The Cowboys are off to a good start, too, in digging through the larger pool of available players and finding value and upside. This is a historic roster flip underway that should be fun to watch this fall. [ESPN]
• Stailee Heard looked like her old self in a 7-point win over Colorado yesterday (PFB) • Cowboy alum and one of the offensive line coaches for the Pokes last year found a new role in Pittsburg, Kansas (X) • What a fun view (unless you wrestle for Oklahoma):
