It’s scheduling season for official visits, and the Cowboys have a touted ball carrier set to come to Stillwater in late May.

Javian Jones-Priest announced via X on Sunday that he has an official visit scheduled to Oklahoma State from May 29-31. He’s the No. 333 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2027 class, which lists him as the No. 24 running back in the class and a top 50 player from the state of Texas.

Listed at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, Jones-Priest stars for Arlington-Martin High. MaxPreps had him running for 1,154 yards and 12 touchdowns in 10 games during his junior season.

Along with excelling on the gridiron, Jones-Priest is also a track star. He ran a 10.49 100 meters last year, according to Athletic.net, and has already recorded a 10.64 in 2026. He recorded a personal best 21.68 200 meters this year, as well.

Eric Morris and Co. have long been in pursuit of Jones-Priest, but the new colors might make it more realistic they get him. North Texas was his first Division-I offer, coming last April. He now has 29 offers, including Oregon, Baylor, SMU, Texas Tech, TCU, Iowa and others.

The Cowboys are still waiting on their first commitment in Morris’ 2027 class. Morris had expressed in an earlier meeting with the media that, given all the transition, they felt a little behind on 2027 guys, but it’s still early. OSU and BYU are Big 12 squads without a 2027 pledge at this point, while five other Big 12 programs have only one.
