Well, maybe the Cowboys aren’t quite done in the transfer portal.

Oklahoma State is set to host Youngstown State defensive back transfer Jeremiah Piper on Friday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Piper is a grad transfer who received a waiver for an additional season of eligibility.

Listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Piper is proficient in an area new Oklahoma State coach Eric Morris seems to value quite highly: speed. Piper boasts a 4.3 40-yard dash on his Twitter profile.

He played in just one game for the Penguins this past season.

Piper spent the 2024 season at Western Illinois, where he made 28 tackles, intercepted a pass, broke up four passes and forced a fumble, primarily playing at corner. According to PFF, Piper was targeted 35 times in 2024, where he gave up 21 catches.

Before that, Piper was at Western Michigan from 2020 to 2023, where he appeared in 14 games.

Out of Southfield, Michigan, Piper was a two-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class, initially picking Western Michigan over offers from Akron, Ohio and Toledo. He was a high school quarterback, putting up 1,300 rushing yards and more than 200 passing yards as a senior. He also intercepted a pair of passes and made 50 tackles.

Morris has had to rebuild his first OSU roster essentially from the ground up, bringing in north of 80 new players. That obviously included a healthy haul of portal prospects.

OSU has six listed corners on the roster: returner LaDainian Fields, returner Kobi Foreman, Texas Tech transfer Mo Horn, North Texas transfer Kollin Lewis, freshman Maliek Bracy and freshman Marrel Davis III.
