OSU Softball: Utah Transfer Catcher Kennedy Proctor Commits to Oklahoma State

The Cowgirls lost two solid catching options to graduation this year, but Kenny Gajewski was quick to reload.

Utah transfer Kennedy Proctor committed to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Through her first two seasons of college softball, Proctor has a .329 batting average with 20 homers and 69 RBIs.

As a sophomore this past season, Proctor slashed .338/.461/.706, leading the Utes with 14 home runs and tying for a team lead with 13 doubles.

Proctor also had an outstanding freshman season in 2025, finishing with a .319 batting average in 135 ABs with six round-trippers and 10 doubles.

She hails from Rancho Santa Margarita, California by way of Tesoro High School, where she also lettered in volleyball and flag football.

Catcher was definitely a position of need for the Cowgirls this offseason considering Big 12 All-Defensive Team selection Audrey Schneidmiller and 2025 All-Big 12 First Team selection Amanda Hasler both finished out their eligibility this season.

The Cowgirls will have more work to do in the portal, particularly finding who will throw Proctor the ball next season. All-American Ruby Meylan and RyLee Crandall were also a seniors, and freshman Preslee Downing, who threw 40 2/3 innings, announced her intentions to hit the transfer portal. But, adding a catcher who has hit better than .300 in two Big 12 seasons is a more than solid start.
