In the Big 12 preseason poll conducted by the Tulsa World, OSU was a solid ninth, 36 points ahead of 10th-place Baylor and only 42 points behind sixth-place Texas Christian. Meanwhile, Colorado was 15th, ahead of only wiped-out Iowa State.
