How You Can Help PFB in 2026

August is upon us, and a new era of Oklahoma State football is near.

After two years of not writing about a lot of winning, we here at PFB are excited at the prospect of some renewed energy reverberating around Boone Pickens Stadium this fall. But before a ball soars through the Oklahoma sky as fans jingle their keys in the air, let’s talk a bit of business.

I always feel awkward about this type of stuff (probably because I was a sports media major and not a business major), but nonetheless, funds are important. So, here are some ways you can help support what we’re doing this upcoming school year.

What We Do

There is a lot of good Oklahoma State coverage out there on this beat. So, I don’t want this to come out as putting anyone else down. A lot of people do a lot of great work getting your Cowboy news to you, and you should support as many of them as you can.

But here’s our angle of covering the Cowboys: we try to be everywhere.

Of course that means football, where we’ll again bring coverage of OSU as the Pokes traverse Morris’ first season. Two of us will be at each Morris luncheon and at every player availability we can. We’ll have all sorts of game coverage following each contest, and on a given week in football season, we’ll produce four podcasts (two via the Pistols Firing Pod and two via the Reload).

Past that, we’re at every home basketball game and even some on the road. We’re at every Steve Lutz media availability.

We’re at every David Taylor availability and every home Cowboy wrestling dual. I’ve become a bit of a wrestling sicko since Taylor took over, and I’d argue no one has written more OSU wrestling over the past five or so years than PFB.

Women’s basketball and the excitement Hoyt is bringing to GIA this year? We’re there. OSU Softball’s journey to get back to the Women’s College World Series? We’re there. Admittedly we were at less baseball this past season than we usually are (had some scheduling conflicts), but we’re still keeping ourselves, and you, up to date on the diamond.

We have two reporters (and a photographer) based in Stillwater working our tails off to get you OSU coverage. In terms of sheer content, I don’t think there’s a better place to get your news from than PFB.

We pride ourselves on hard work and showing up, and if that’s something you’re able to support, we’d greatly appreciate it.

This is almost always our most-read article of each week, and we can plug your business at the top of the story as well as place your company logo on the article’s photo.

The Pistols Firing Podcast: Carson and Colby have hit their stride with these, and it’s a must-listen for OSU fans (I might be slightly biased). The guys usually go twice a week during football season and once a week outside of football, sharing thoughts and insights on all that’s happening at OSU. The guys can do a read about your company in each pod.

Daily Bullets: This, to me, is the most underrated sponsorship opportunity we have available. Steven Mandeville handles bullets Monday through Saturday, and Kyle Cox takes the Sunday shift. It’s a daily recap on OSU news that gets posted here on the site and is shared with more than 1,000 people each morning. The sponsorship would again be at the top of each edition of Daily Bullets with your company’s logo on the photo.

The Reload: We’re a smaller podcast (which means cheaper advertising), but we’re full of heart. I started this last football season (not an ideal season to start a podcast about) alongside former OSU walk-ons Justin Southwell and Nathan Gilsleider. We record twice a week during football season and once a week outside of it.
