Junior College All-American Corner Coaleon Johnson Announces Oklahoma State Offer
Through a dozen junior college games, Johnson has eight picks.
After sending out offers to a pair of junior college edge rushers earlier in the week, the Cowboys’ staff is now also looking at potentially adding a junior college defensive back.
Coaleon Johnson announced announced an Oklahoma State offer on Wednesday. The Cowboys join the likes of SMU, Kansas State and others that have extended offers to the 6-foot-4, 180-pound corner.

Johnson plays at Iowa Western. He’s coming off a two interception game against Coffeyville this past weekend, and through two games this season, Johnson has also made five tackles.
He’s out of Chicago and played his freshman year at Rochester Community and Technical College. In 10 games there, Johnson intercepted six passes, recovered three fumbles and made 55 total tackles. That was enough for Johnson to be named an NCJAA First Team All-American.
So that means that through a dozen games at the junior college level, Johnson has intercepted eight passes.
Per his X account, Johnson is set to graduate in December.
The Cowboys have a pair of defensive backs committed in their 2027 recruiting class in high school seniors Bryson Brown (Broken Arrow) and Chayce Davis (Euless, Texas).
OSU’s new staff hasn’t been shy about taking guys from lower levels of college football, including the junior college ranks. OSU added safety Bobby Deal Jr. this offseason from Coffeyville, and linebacker Taurean Davis joined from Mississippi Gulf Coast.
