STILLWATER — In the last 24 hours Oklahoma State has once again stepped into the national spotlight, this time for good reasons.

On Sunday morning, the Cowboys (1-1) were rewarded for their win over Oregon (1-1), with some love from AP Top 25 voters who put the Cowboys back in the receiving votes section as the unofficial 29th best team.

Oklahoma State received 36 points in the poll, twice as much as the unofficial 31st-ranked Tulsa (2-0). For context, No. 25 Virginia (2-0) rounded out the poll with 182 points.

Oregon dropped down to 21st, a loss of 15 spots, following the Cowboys win. Oklahoma State won’t face another ranked team until traveling to No. 22 Houston (2-0) on Oct. 17.

Other ranked Big 12 teams include No. 11 BYU (2-0), No. 13 Texas Tech (2-0) which visits on Nov. 14, and No. 17 Utah (2-0).
