• OSU president Jim Hess had a chat early last week with his head football coach Eric Morris – and it turned out to be prophetic.

“‘I just want to encourage you. Remember what got you here. Remember you’re a great coach. Remember, you know how to inspire young people,” Hess said of the conversation.

“You just do what you know how to do, and the rest of it’s going to take care of itself.’ I said, ‘So you go get them. We’re all behind you.’”

Hess had a few final words for Morris, which turned prophetic during the postgame fan celebration on the field at Boone Pickens Stadium.

“I said, ‘By the way, I told people I’ve already ordered a goal post (to be taken down by fans) and I expect to use it,'” the OSU President said. [TulsaWorld]
