OSU Soccer: Cowgirls Upset No. 14 TCU, Already Eclipsing Last Season’s Goal Total
OSU scored 20 goals in 2025, and the Cowgirls have already netted 22 this season.
Colin Carmichael’s Cowgirls opened Big 12 play with a massive bang on Thursday evening.
Oklahoma State upset No. 14 TCU 3-1 at Neal Patterson Stadium, pushing the Cowgirls’ season record to 5-2-2. That’s already more wins that OSU had last season.
It marks the Cowgirls’ first win against a ranked opponent since beating No. 6 Nebraska to start the 2024 season.
TCU has been the class of the Big 12 of late, as this game also marked the first time since 2017 that the Cowgirls have beaten the Horned Frogs. Since 2020, TCU has won four regular season conference titles and one tournament title.
OSU got out to a 3-0 lead with goals from Sonora De Fini, Keaton Mitchell and Emmy Hedden before the Horned Frogs got one back in the 75th minutes.

OSU has now tallied 22 goals this season, coming out to 2.44 goals a contest. The Cowgirls struggled to a 4-13-2 finish in 2025, a season in which OSU scored just 20 total goals (1.05 per game).
The Cowgirls travel to Texas next week, playing Baylor (7-1) in Waco on Thursday and Houston (4-1-3) in Houston next Sunday.
