Big 12 Availability Report: Cowboys Chris Barnes, Johnny Dickson III, Braylon Rigsby ‘Probable’ for WVU

The Cowboys and Mountaineers are both a little dinged up ahead of their matchup in Morgantown Saturday night.

The Big 12’s released its first Availability Report on Wednesday and the Cowboys fared a little better than the Mountaineers.

Oklahoma State offensive linemen Braydon Nelson and Joseph Hanson and defensive tackle Iman Oates were listed as “questionable” while three Cowboys were listed as probable. Those are wide receiver Chris Barnes, OL Johnny Dickson III and defensive tackle Braylon Rigsby.

OSU defensive tackle Iman Oates, right guard Joseph Hanson and Barnes all went down in the Oregon game, but it looks like Barnes is in a better spot to return. Head coach Eric Morris mentioned that he was “excited” to get Barnes back earlier this week.

Hanson was the Cowboys starting right tackle to enter the season. In his absences, OSU moved Dickson from left guard to right guard and slid Desmond Magiya at left guard.

Nelson started all of North Texas’ games at tackle last season but hasn’t played as a Cowboy yet because of an injury suffered in fall camp. When he gets healthy, he’s likely to compete for a spot there.

Also of note, tight end Oscar Hammond wasn’t on the injury report. He hasn’t played this season but has experience with Morris. He caught 19 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown for North Texas in 2024. He then transferred to OSU ahead of last season but missed the year with injury.

Running back Chris Talley is listed as “questionable” while the following were listed as “probable.”

Prince Strachan (WR)
Martavious Boswell (RB)
Nick Krahe (OL)

Cowboy fans will remember Bray for his three years in Stillwater. He’s the Mountaineers’ current second-leading receiver with six catches for 96 yards in three games so far this year. WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez also stated Bray should be good to go.
