It was an eventful week for Cowboys in the NFL with some highs and some lows. Let’s take a look around the league, starting with the highs.

Jaylen Warren’s Career B-Day

The undrafted running back continues to establish himself as one of the top playmakers in the NFL.

In a 27-6 win over the then division-leading Cleveland Browns, Warren was a bully. He tied a career high with 143 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Check out this 51-yard run. I’m not going to make that comparison, but this guy is hard to bring down.

His big numbers make him a frequent subject for Pro Football Focus tweets. He’s top three in scrimmage yards per game by running backs. His 529 scrimmage yards led all players in the month of October. He’s on pace for nearly 1,500 rushing yards if he continues on this clip.

That win put the Steelers at the top of the AFC North, with a half-game lead over the Cincinnati Bengals. They go into an off week before a crucial matchup in Cincy on Nov. 15.

Steelers fans even sang Warren “Happy Birthday” after the game.

Chuba Lambeau Leaps in Loss

Another former Cowboy running back is on pace for a monster season.

The Panthers didn’t get the win, but Chuba Hubbard continued his productive streak. He added 81 rushing yards and a score as well as seven catches for 38 receiving yards.

He had tough plays like this.

And even got to do the Lambeau Leap.

That brings his total on the year to 540 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Hubbard is on pace to rush for over 1,300 yards which would be a career high. His most productive year was in 2024 when he rushed for 1,195 yards and 10 TDs.

But don’t talk to Chuba about stats. He was more frustrated with the result of Carolina’s trip to Green Bay.

Ollie Gordon Lands Costly Penalty

A week after leading the Dolphins to their first win of the season, Ollie Gordon let his emotions get the best of him, and it cost his team.

Miami had a 13-10 lead over the New England Patriots in the third quarter. It was 3rd-and-5 when Gordon got flagged for taunting. The Dolphins then found themselves in 3rd-and-20, did not convert and then Patriots scored on the next drive. Miami would not regain the lead.

After the penalty, Gordon was seen getting animated with Miami head coach Jeff Hafley and had to be talked down by an assistant coach. Quarterback Malik Willis also went a bit viral for discussing his comments to Gordon on the sideline.

Gordon was also pulled from a preseason game earlier this year after an unsportsmanlike penalty cost the Dolphins a drive.

Gordon did address the media about his mistake and took responsibility to the costly flag. He finished with 69 rushing yards on 19 attempts.
