New OSU Commit Devin Harper Will Play Outside Linebacker
Glenn Spencer looks to reinforce his linebacker corps.
Oklahoma State picked up its third verbal commitment in an 8-day span yesterday when Devin Harper committed to OSU.
Harper is listed as an athlete by 247sports, but Harper tells that he has been recruited to play nickel, or outside linebacker.
Harper spoke with WBIR yesterday to discuss his decision to commit. “He (Mike Gundy) asked how my day was going at first, and I was like “I’m calling to commit.” And he was very happy. He was like “You’re a Cowboy now and you’ll always be a Cowboy. Welcome to the family.
“It was like a family, like when I went up there it was like a family atmosphere. It was very fun and the coaches were very loving. The environment was just, very nice.”
Harper can, and has, played everywhere on the field in high school. Check out his highlight video.
