Recruiting
Nick Starkel: ‘I’m 100% Committed to Oklahoma State.’
Nick Starkel’s commitment to OSU is firm.
Since committing to Oklahoma State at the end of April, three-star quarterback Nick Starkel has gained interest from schools and received a big time scholarship offer from Texas A&M recently.
For those following Starkel’s recruitment closely, it’s easy to understand some anxiety with the rising Texas quarterback getting attention from such a high profile program.
Starkel put those worries to rest Sunday afternoon during an interview with Greg Powers of Scout.
“I’m 100% committed to Oklahoma State. I love it there. Other schools that come and talk, you know, I’ll talk to them and I’ll respect them because I don’t want to burn any bridges or anything.”
From the looks of it, OSU appears to be in excellent shape with Starkel. Early evaluations of Starkel resulted in an early commitment and a wave of momentum has carried the recruiting class steadily through the summer. The 2016 class is ranked by 247sports as the No. 46 ranked class in the nation, which ranks fifth in the Big 12 and notably higher than Texas and OU.
