Jerry Jones Might Like Brandon Weeden More than OSU Fans
Brandon Weeden is the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback, both today and into the immediate future. But the pro Pokes are still bringing in some folks to try out for a roster spot while Tony Romo heals up.
That’s not because they don’t believe in Weeden though. Jerry Jones said more hyperbolic things in one paragraph about No. 3 than Mike Gundy said about him in his entire career at Oklahoma State.
Here’s what Jones said, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“This quarterback Weeden can drive the ball down field,” Jones said. “He’s a thing of beauty on throwing a football. His passing motion and his arm, frankly, you won’t see a more gifted passer, power, accuracy, the entire aspect of it. If he can basically prepare, be the starting quarterback, come in and execute and keep his head right, then I feel good about Weeden.”

He’s not wrong about Weeden throwing the ball. It’s everything else that’s been an issue for him so far in the NFL. More of this would be nice.
Weeden, by the way, hasn’t thrown an incompletion since November 2014. He’s 12 for his last 12. That will end on Sunday, but still, a cool stat.
