Recruiting
Prospect to Watch: 2016 RB Josh Jacobs
Oklahoma State has two current commitments at running back this cycle with both Justice Hill and LaDarren Brown expected to sign next week with the Pokes. However, they may be missing out on one of the biggest in-state sleeper prospects in recent years in Tulsa McClain running back Joshua Jacobs.
Jacobs starred for McClain as a dual-threat quarterback, but likely projects as a running back at the next level with his size and frame (5-11, 200-lbs) and speed.
A quick peak at his highlights and you may agree in my thinking that Jacobs could be a future star at the next level. His recruitment has just recently picked up and he never received massive attention in high school, but that is changing rapidly this week.
He is receiving interest from Mizzou, Ole Miss, Iowa State and several schools. The University of Oklahoma is throwing the full court press at him now, with an offer being reported on Monday.
If the Cowboys want a difference maker to add in the backfield, they need to jump in the race for Jacobs sooner rather than later.
