Closer Look: New Black-Orange-Black Uniform

We will start looking at some of the new uniforms as the season gets closer. Resident Photoshop expert Chris Knox is on the horn for providing us potential combos with Kyle P., Carson Cunningham and Justin Southwell filling in commentary.

First up, one of the old favorites: Black-Orange Black.

Carson Cunningham

A brand new B-O-B! This combo doesn’t differ a whole lot from the previous iteration, but it’s still a great look. This is firmly in my top 10.

Justin Southwell

This is undoubtedly a top 10 look, and I have to say I think I like it better than the previous version. The black accents in the jersey really bring it all together. I used to think the Phantom Pete was a little bit out of place before, but it looks sharp in this combo because the paisley print on the jersey is gray.

I’m still partial to using this helmet with the B-O-B combo because there’s a good balance of orange, but I think the paisley design opens the door for a lot of new helmet designs in the future.

I’ve long thought this combo is overrated but only because most people had it ranked inside their own personal top three or top five. It’s still good, and I think with the bandana trim it might be even better. Also I think the COWBOYS down the pant leg is going to be one of the best things about these new threads.
