Linebacker Josh Mabin Retires from Football Due to Medical Condition
The backup middle linebacker for the Oklahoma State defense has announced he is retiring from football due to a medical condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy:

The third year player out of Klein Oak was primed for a big year behind Chad Whitener, but with his new diagnosis it can put him at high risk for cardiac arrest — and now he’s calling it a career. According to WebMD, it can be a hereditary condition or caused by unknown circumstances including in athletes.
