Freshman Defensive End Announces Retirement from Football due to Medical Conditions
Cade Smith, a freshman from Pleasanton, Texas, has announced he is retiring from football after multiple heart surgeries and other medical conditions. Here’s what he posted to his twitter on Wednesday:

Cade, along with his twin brother Zach, joined OSU as preferred walk-ons after having several different offers. He is the second Cowboy to announce he is being forced to hang up his cleats this week, with linebacker Josh Mabin making the same decision earlier this week.
