Mason Rudolph: ‘We’re Soldiers, We Never Stop Fighting’
Mason Rudolph and his squad came out flat on Saturday at home against Iowa State, trailing by as much as 17 points when there was just 18 minutes left in the game. But the Cowboys stayed poised despite the deficit, and rode a surge behind their junior quarterback to win, 38-31.
“We just kept battling, man,” Rudolph said in an interview with ESPN. “We’re soliders. We just keep battling. That’s the way Coach Gundy has trained us. The defense did a hell of a – a great job – getting a bunch of stops there at the end. They got the crowd involved, and we were able to finish the job.”
In 21 career starts, Saturday’s second half comeback was Mason Rudolph’s seventh career second half comeback.
