Report: Cleveland Cavaliers Release Markel Brown
Markel Brown’s time in Cleveland appears to be short-lived. According to a report from ESPN NBA reporter Dave McMenamin, Brown, along with several other players battling for roster spots, have been released:

Brown played in just 6 preseason games for the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers, shooting 37 percent from the floor and just 20 percent from deep. Playing for the Nets last season, Brown averaged 5.9 points and 1.5 assists per game.
