WATCH: Car Ride Interview With Brad Underwood
It may not have been karaoke with James Corden, but the OSU basketball Facebook account posted a unique interview with Brad Underwood from inside his car on Thursday.
Underwood talked about his two daughters, his morning routine (which apparently must include Starbucks, as you see) and the sense of community and family that he is looking to build with the basketball program in Stillwater.
He also spoke on the incredible basketball tradition at Oklahoma State and his desire to return the Cowboys to the college basketball throne. The respect and impact that Henry Iba had on him and the game of college basketball as a whole. The longstanding success of Eddie Sutton and the level he raised Oklahoma State hoops to. His burning desire to return the program to its’ former greatness.
“I’ve never lost sight of the fact that every single athlete comes to Oklahoma State and they want to be the best they can be,” said Underwood. “It’s my job to help them achieve that. Along with that, I understand we have to win. We don’t shy away from that. We’re one of the best programs in America.”
Underwood has been a tremendous hit in Stillwater this offseason, as the Cowboys are now less than two weeks from tipping off their season against Pittsburg State in an exhibition on Nov. 1st. Check out his insightful interview below.
