Zach Sinor Named Semifinalist for Ray Guy Award
Perhaps the most valuable player on Oklahoma State’s football team is getting respect on a national level. Zach Sinor, “Zach the punter” as his twitter handle terms, has been named one of ten semifinalists for the Ray Guy Award, which is given to the nations best punter in the country.
Sinor has been consistent in pinning teams deep this year and putting the Oklahoma State defense in favorable position throughout the year. 60 percent of his punts have pinned teams inside the opponents 20-yard line which leads the nation, according to stats from an okstate.com release. The second leading mark is 54.5 percent.
Of the ten candidates for the award, the list will be narrowed to three finalists which will be announced on Nov. 22. The winner will be announced on Dec. 8.
