Look: OSU Students Hang Offensive Sign Degrading OU’s Top Players

A picture of a homophobic sign hanging from the Oklahoma State student union surfaced early Monday morning on twitter, with the words “DeDe Westbrook & Baker Mayfield Bang Dudes” with the hashtag #OUHateWeek.

Of course, it’s Bedlam week. So rivalry tends to bring out the crazies, but there’s a difference between friendly ribbing … and taking things just a tad too far. It’s almost as bad as that Trail of Tears sign that surfaced at the Florida State game in 2014. Maybe it’s worse, actually.

But c’mon people, do we really need to teach a class in school to demonstrate how to correctly taunt an opponent and how far is too far? It’s highly likely the sign is no longer found on campus, but it’s probably best to avoid these classless signs altogether.
