Cal Graduate Transfer Offensive Lineman Cuts List to 3

University of Cal-Berkley graduate transfer Aaron Cochran has cut his list to three schools and is down to Oklahoma State, Auburn and Texas Tech according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter. The 6-foot-8 350 pound offensive tackle would have had his third offensive line coach in four years at Cal if he would have stayed, and now he will seek a school to play his final year of eligibility.

Cochran played in 28 games and started 16 over the last three years for Cal. In 2016, he played in 11 games with a career-high 10 starts at left tackle. Cochran is on track to earn his bachelor’s degree from Cal in interdisciplinary studies in May.

Marcus Arroyo, OSU’s now former ace recruiter, was part of the Cal staff that recruited him and his brother to the school. That was the connection that landed OSU an inside track with him. And while Arroyo is coaching at Oregon, Cochran is clearly still interested in the Cowboys. There is no public timetable for his decision, but expect it to come before the summer so he can enroll and prepare for the upcoming season.
