Oklahoma State Gets OL Commit From No. 12 Player in State

As Kyle B. laid out here, the Spring Game is often the perfect, exciting time for high schoolers to commit to college, and on Saturday Oklahoma State got a big one (literally). Three-star offensive guard Bryce Bray from Bixby became the fifth commit in Oklahoma State’s 2018 class and the second offensive lineman after OSU didn’t sign any out of high school last year.

Bray is a large kid — 6’5, 309 pounds — and held offers from Iowa State, OU and Nevada. It is clear new offensive line coach Josh Henson is already paying dividends and is building for the future. Bray is the No. 12 recruit in the state of Oklahoma.

“I would like to thank God for the opportunity and the ability to play the game I love,” wrote Bray on Twitter. “I would like to thank my parents, coaches, teammates and friends for being there through thick and thin. Thank you to all of the schools and coaches who recruited me, it was an amazing experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am very proud to say I have committed to Oklahoma State University to continue my education and football career.”

Bray’s film is pretty impressive, but I’m more blown away by the work Henson has done so far. A program that has floundered a bit when it comes to offensive linemen for the last few years has seemingly righted the ship at the hands of a former alum. Let the 300-pounders flow.
