Rickie Fowler to Serve as OSU’s 2017 Homecoming Grand Marshal
One of the most popular athlete’s in the world of golf will be repping Oklahoma State as its homecoming grand marshal this fall.
On Tuesday, OSU announced Rickie Fowler — the No. 10 golfer in the world according to the Official World Golf Rankings, and a famed OSU alum — will be taking on the role this year.
“This year’s Homecoming events are celebrating the fame of our institution and our alumni, and there are few Cowboys more famous than Rickie Fowler,” OSU Alumni Association president Chris Batchelder said. “Rickie is an outstanding ambassador for Oklahoma State University and Cowboy Golf, and we’re thrilled to have him return for ‘America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration’ in Stillwater.”

Fowler came to OSU in 2007 and became the first freshman to win the Ben Hogan Award. He also earned the Phil Mickelson Award as the nation’s top freshman and later earned Big 12 honors as Player of the Year. He was a two-time All-American as a Cowboy.
Fowler turned professional in 2009 and has enjoyed a successful rise to fame within the sport, earning four PGA Tour victories and 57 career top-10 finishes.
OSU’s homecoming takes place on Oct. 14 when the Cowboys host Baylor in Stillwater.
