OSU Moves to No. 10 after Blowout Win Over Baylor
It was yet another week of upsets in college football. Several teams at the top of the rankings came up short and the ensuing shakeup was significant.
Oklahoma State took advantage of several of those losses — and the Baylor Bears for that matter. Let’s take a look at the polls.

Who Jumped up?
Oklahoma State earned a little respect after its 59-16 shellacking of Baylor climbing back up to Nos. 10 and 11, respectively. TCU made it to No. 4 in both polls after going to Manhattan and planting their purple flag with a 26-6 win over Kansas State. With the losses of Clemson and Washington above them, the Horned Frogs moves up to . Oklahoma is back to No. 9 after a close win at the Texas State Fair over the ‘Horns.
Who dropped off?
It was a bad week to be at the top of the rankings. Four teams in the AP top 10 lost in Week 7. Clemson (No.2), Washington (No. 5), Washington State (No. 8) and Auburn (No. 10) fell in the polls due to losses. Alabama, again, looks like the only elite team.
San Diego State, Utah and Navy fell out of the top 25 after losses. Texas Tech had a cup of coffee in the AP top 25 last week but was replaced by West Virginia who bested the Red Raiders by 11 on Satuday.
Conference Outlook
As far as Power 5 conference teams go, the AP is pretty balance. Five Big Ten teams and four each of the Big 12, SEC, ACC and Pac-12. Among the top 10, the Big 12 and Big Ten each have three, the ACC has two, the SEC has Alabama and the Pac-12 is just left out with USC at No. 11.
