Alex Dieringer to Compete at Yasar Dogu
Dieringer to face some of the worlds best.

The 47th addition of the Yasar Dogu international wrestling tournament goes down this weekend, and Alex Dieringer will be competing in it.

The three time NCAA champion and Hodge trophy winner will be going up against some of the toughest wrestlers in the world as a part of United World Wrestling’s “ranking series.” The series gives points to the place-winners which are used to determine seeding at the World Championships.

Hasanov won silver at last years World Championships and won bronze at the 2016 Olympics. Dieringer beat Hasanov last year. The 79 KG weight class will be wrestled starting on Friday with the medal matches on Saturday. The Friday session starts at 11 a.m. in Istanbul and runs to 5 p.m, which is 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. central standard time. The finals are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday in Istanbul, which is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. CST. It can be streamed on FloWrestling.
