Zachary Bauchou, who is entering his senior year, won his second straight Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship on Thursday.

Bauchou won by three strokes and shot an 18-under 266 in the tournament. He became the first golfer to win back-to-back Canadian Amateurs since Mackenzie Hughes did so in 2011 and 2012.

Bauchou and teammates Austin Eckroat, Viktor Hovland, and Hayden Wood are competing in the U.S. Amateur this week.

The Cowgirls fell in an exhibition Friday against Missouri in Kansas City, 2-1.

Freshman Grace Yochum scored OSU’s lone goal. Three players of coach Colin Carmichael’s starting 11 were freshmen.

Yochum’s goal put the Cowgirls ahead 1-0 in the 31st minute before the Tigers equalized in the 58th. The game was even until Missouri’s Sky Kingsley scored her second goal in the 83rd.

The Cowgirls open their season Thursday in Tulsa, before opening the new Neal Patterson Stadium against Oklahoma on Sunday.
