Ateman, Tyron Praise James Washington for Oklahoma State’s Third Biletnikoff
James Washington won Oklahoma State its third Biletnikoff Award in the last eight seasons on Thursday. It was inevitable that he was going to win, even though the fallout was both emotional and great to see.
Everybody weighed in — from Tyron Johnson to Marcell Ateman to coaches and other players, it appears that there is much respect for two eight. And why not? He transformed himself from the 689th-ranked player in the country in his high school class to one of the best receivers in college football history.
Here are a few of the comments from those surrounding the Oklahoma State football program.

It has been a privilege to watch this young man perform. His biggest gift to us is the class that he has demonstrated in every thing that he does on and off the field. Well done, James Washington. Congratulations and a huge thank you from every Cowboy fan. https://t.co/lQ91AIPZ21
