Big 12 Baseball Championship Bracket Announced, OSU Draws Baylor in Opening Round
The Cowboys went 2-1 in Waco.
The Cowboys finished strong and landed in the top half of the bracket.
Following the final slate of regular season games on Saturday, the Big 12 announced its final standings and the bracket for this week’s conference tournament.
Oklahoma State (15-12) drew the 7 seed and will face 10 seed Baylor (13-17) in the opening round of the Big 12 Baseball Championship. The Cowboys took the regular season series in Waco earlier this month, topping the Bears 7-2 and 4-0 before falling 5-4 in 10 innings in the series finale. That was OSU’s only loss in the month of May.
The field is set… now time for some postseason baseball in Arlington, TX.

OSU was tabbed as the preseason favorite after winning last year’s Big 12 Tourney, but that honor was earned by West Virginia (19-9). The Cowboys started off losing five of six out of the gate in the nonconference and went 12-10 outside of the league. They entered the final month of the season just 7-11 in Big 12 play, but May has been their month. OSU finished 8-1, including a three-game sweep of Arizona State, to climb up to that No. 7 spot.
The Big 12 Championship runs Wednesday through Saturday. The Cowboys and Bears will square off at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Globe Life Field.
Here’s a look at the full slate of games.
