Bowl Projections: Liberty Bowl, Texas A&M Popular Spots for Pokes
I know it feels like Oklahoma State will never play in a bowl game again, but with one-third of the college football season in the books, it’s time to take a look at where Oklahoma State is projected to go in the postseason.
ESPN 1: Camping World Bowl (The U)
ESPN 2: Liberty Bowl (Texas A&M)
USA Today: Liberty Bowl (Missouri)
SI: Liberty Bowl (Missouri)
SB Nation: Liberty Bowl (LSU)
CBS: Texas Bowl (Texas A&M)
Can you imagine this team playing in the same bowl last year’s team played in? Honestly, playing any of these teams in any of these bowls feels like a fat W considering the egg the Pokes laid against Texas Tech.
Also, OSU already took down the turnover throne so it doesn’t seem like the turnover chain would be that big of an issue, either.
Obviously all of this can (and will) change over the final two months of the season, but I’m addicted to things like CFB Playoff and bowl projections and thought it would be fun to take a way-too-early look at this year’s.
Funny how things change, too. If you’d told me a week ago OSU would be playing in the Texas Bowl, I would have laughed. Now? All I can think about is that Jimbo-Gundy pre-bowl press conference and how quality an opponent Texas A&M would be.
