Bryce Thompson to Announce College Decision in a Week
Bryce Thompson is picking a program next Tuesday.

A week from now, the world will know where Bryce Thompson is going to college.
Thompson, the No. 1 basketball prospect in the state of Oklahoma, will announce his commitment next Tuesday, the day before the early signing period starts, according to 247Sports’ Evan Daniels. Thompson will choose between Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas and North Carolina.

Thompson’s commitment with come at 10 a.m. Central Time on CBS Sports HQ, CBS Sports’ streaming news network.
Before Thompson makes his announcement, though, he will take another trip to Stillwater. Thompson will be on-hand as Oklahoma state hosts Oral Roberts on Wednesday when the Cowboys start their 2019-20 season.
A 6-foot-5 combo guard out of Booker T. High School, Thompson is the 19th-ranked player in all of the 2020 class. Oklahoma hasn’t had as highly touted a recruit since Xavier Henry chose to go to Kansas in the 2009 class, meaning Thompson’s 247 Composite Score (.9933) ranks higher than Trae Young’s (.9915) from 2017.
247Sports and Rivals both peg Kansas as the current favorite to land Thompson. Jerry Meyer, 247’s director of basketball scouting, submitted a crystal ball prediction for Thompson to be a Jayhawk on Oct. 23. Rivals’ national analysts Eric Bossi and Corey Evans made Kansas forecasts for Thompson on Oct. 21.
Thompson has taken official visits to all four remaining schools since September, but it looks as if OSU and coach Mike Boynton will get the last opportunity to host Thompson with his unofficial visit on Wednesday.
