Carter Young to Wrestle at NCAA Tournament
Young will wrestle after being injured at Big 12s.
One of the big storylines coming out of the Big 12 Tournament was Oklahoma State 141-pounder Carter Young.
Young suffered an injury during the semifinals and defaulted to a fifth-place finish in the tournament. There were questions surrounding his health and whether he would compete in the NCAA tournament, but John Smith answered those on his Monday media availability.
“Carter will wrestle,” Smith said. “He’s in really a lot better shape than following the (Big 12) tournament. … He’s going to step out and it’s not anything we’ll be embarrassed about. He’s done a nice job quickly preparing for the tournament.”
