The Cowboys picked up a big tight end out of the transfer portal on Saturday.

Jordan Owens, listed at 6-foot-6, 255-pounds, announced he committed to Oklahoma State after a visit. Playing at Central Arkansas the past three seasons, Owens caught 19 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in 2024. Owens also announced offers to Memphis, San Diego State, Louisiana and others out of the portal.

Out of McGehee, Arkansas, Owens started his college career in the JUCO ranks at Coffeyville in Kansas.

Owens played in 11 games in his first year at UCA (2022), catching three passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns before catching seven passes for 56 yards and three scores in 2023.

OSU’s tight end room is set to lose Tyler Foster to eligibility. Foster transferred in from Ohio ahead of last season and was a primary tight end option for the Cowboys alongside freshman Josh Ford.

Owens is the third  player the Cowboys have gotten from the portal this offseason, joining offensive linemen Kasen Carpenter (Tulsa) and Lavaka Taukeiaho (Weber State).
