Chuba Hubbard, Teven Jenkins to Miss Texas Tech Game, per Reports
Not great news on the injury front for OSU.
Oklahoma State All-American running back Chuba Hubbard will miss Saturday’s game against Texas Tech, a source confirmed to Pistols Firing.
All-Conference tackle Teven Jenkins is also expected to miss the game, according to a report from Marshall Levenson of SI.
Cody Nagel of 247Sports first reported the news of Hubbard.
Hubbard has been banged up much of the last month and he battled through injury coming into the Bedlam game last week before an in-game incident in which he appeared to re-aggravate an ongoing ankle ailment. Hubbard played through the injury, but was clearly hobbled by it.
Hubbard’s backup, LD Brown, has been dealing with an injury himself, a source told Pistols Firing, putting his status for Saturday’s game up in the air.
Should both Hubbard and Brown be out, OSU will likely turn to former junior college running back Dezmon Jackson to fill a role as a workhorse. Jackson has just 18 carries on the season for 135 yards, with a team-high 7.5 yards per carry. Freshman running back Dominic Richardson could also see some playing time.
