Collin Oliver Announces Return to Oklahoma State for 2024 Season
Oliver has 21.5 sacks in his OSU career thus far.
The Cowboys got some more good news Wednesday.
Collin Oliver, Oklahoma State’s leader in sacks each of the past three seasons, announced he will return to Stillwater for the 2024 season. Oliver made the transition from defensive end to linebacker in 2023, and in his first season at the position, Oliver made 73 tackles, including 15.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. He also had four forced fumbles, five pass breakups, nine quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery.

Oliver joins Joe Michalski, Cole Birmingham, Dalton Cooper, Jake Springfield, Jason Brooks Jr., Ollie Gordon, Brennan Presley and Collin Clay as players who have announced returns to OSU for 2024.
Out of Edmond Santa Fe, Oliver was a four-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting class. He chose OSU over offers from Georgia, Oregon, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Kansas State, Missouri and others.
He made an instant impact on things, racking up 10.5 sacks as a true freshman in 2021 as the Cowboys won the Fiesta Bowl. The biggest moment of Oliver’s freshman season came in Bedlam when he sacked Caleb Williams on a late fourth down to ice the win for the Pokes.
He followed that up with five sacks in 2022. He tied with Nickolas Martin this past season with six sacks each to lead the Cowboys. Oliver has had five multi-sack games in his OSU career.
Oliver is up to 21.5 sacks in three years with the Pokes, which is tied for fifth in program history with current OSU defensive line coach Greg Richmond. Leslie O’Neal is OSU’s all-time leading sack-getter with 34.
