The schedule came out a few weeks ago and we found out there would again only be one Bedlam dual this season. The general reason they’ve given for only having one dual is they’re just not in a position to compete currently. Now that one dual will be showcased nationally for everyone to see.
The NCAA wrestling tournament is a massive broadcast on the ESPN networks but as a whole, there are only a handful of duals each season that make it on ESPNU. Last year the only one for the Cowboys was vs. Northern Iowa, so this is big. The bulk of the wrestling world’s eyes will be on it. The crowd, performance, etc… all mean a lot. OU could be competitive in spots, but on paper, OSU will be heavy favorites. Possibly in every individual match.
