Cowboys Move Up Six Spots to No. 12 in Coaches Poll
The Pokes climb in the polls after Upset Saturday.
Oklahoma State continued its climb in the Coaches poll, moving from 18th up to No. 12 for Week 6 following its 24-14 win over then-No. 24 Baylor. The Pokes have been ranked by the coaches every week this season, with a low of 23. This is their highest ranking so far in 2021.

There were a number of upsets and ranked teams falling which helped push the Pokes higher. No. 3 Oregon was served the upset by unranked Stanford. Seventh-ranked Notre Dame fell to eighth-ranked Cincinnati. (That pickup for the Big 12 is looking better and better.) No. 23 Kentucky handed No. 9 Florida an L, and No. 11 Arkansas got blanked 37-zip by No. 2 Georgia.
Elsewhere in the league, Oklahoma dropped one spot from 4 to 5 after its 37-31 win over Kansas State. Baylor dropped out with the loss in Stillwater. Texas is back in at 23 after its win over TCU, setting up a ranked-on-ranked Red River rivalry this weekend.
